Rear swap...now rim/tire question

On my 88 IROC vert, now with a rear from a 96SS, I am forced to buy new rims and tires. I really don't want to part with my old school ROH snypers, but now have no choice. I want to move to a 17" rim without any monkey business. 17 X 9, 40 or less profile on 275s in rear and 255's in front with 5.5 BS? If yes or no, does anyone know what size spacers I will need on my front hubs? Thanks

Re: Rear swap...now rim/tire question

If you have wheels with a 4th gen off-set, you can run a 17x9 with a 275/40R17 on the rear with no spacers and the same on the front with a 2" spacer. I prefer to run the same size all around so that I can rotate.

Not really sure, perhaps some black ZR1's.

Im running 16" Iroc rims with the 4th gen rear from a 95 lt1, sticks out a little, but looks fine to me.
