tips on installing jegster torque arm?
i bought the jegster adjustable trans tunnel mount torque arm used from a member here on tgo. it did not come with instruction and i contacted jegs by they said they could only mail the non-adjustable directions to me in 2-3 weeks.
i want to install it next wednesday(only day off). i just dont no where to set the adjustment for initial mounting and drilling holes( 14 holes scares me)

i installed one on my 89 formula and it was a royal pain. you need to re use the pumpkin hardware. for me the hardest part was drilling the 20 or so holes in the car to install it

i installed the jegster non adjustable arm... it was easy drop the driveshaft... put it up in there ... have all the weight on the tires so you see true ride height....bolt the arm to the pumpkin and slide the joint in and bolt the pin up... leave the pin out about an inch or so for movement and put the grease fitting down..then drill the 4 outside ones and bolt it up and then the rest... remove carpet makes it easier..will be right over the e- brake cables..feels solid

FWIW - The TA bolts going into the diff are M14 bolts, 180mm long. I think you can use 9/16" bolts that are 6" long IIRC. That's what Spohn sells as a replacement part.

Not sure if it will help but I did a Edelbrock adjustable arm and it all worked better after I dropped the tranny a little. I just but the jack under the tail, loosened the crossmember bolts a bit and let her down an inch.

i believe you can download the instruction from jegs.com, if not it's fairly straightforward of an install. Leave a 3/4" gap at the end with the suspension loaded and the grease fitting pointing down and that about covers it. Adjusting pinion angle isn't difficult either, took me under 2 hours from start to finish.
