how do i set the idler arm height????

as anyone who has rebuilt there steering knows there is some adjustment in the mounting of the idler arm assembly to the frame of the car. My question is how or where do i measure to set this thing correctly?? i presume that it is to be on the same level as the pitman arm, and thus make the draglink level to the car???

also does anyone have the correct specs to set things to caster camber, toe, etc....

i assume all i really need to do it myself is degree based level, and a good tape measure

the shops here are smacktards, last time i jad it aligned it was worse than when i took it too them

You set the idler arm so that the center-link is parallel with the ground. With the wheels flat on the ground of course.

well i got all my parts replaced, discovered a couple things along the way........

car sat really tall in the front, i learned that the springs fro not rotated correctly in the control arms, its a bit lower now

my other discovery is quite disturbing........ the drivers side strut mount, had some damage, the rubber was torn about half the way around the metal part in the middle. naturally allowing some excess movement.

perhaps this is my vibration that has forced me to try 2 clutches 2 trannies, 3 driveshafts, and a different rearend. also different tires
