swaybar link question
Do you actually need these to drive the car? My gf has a 94 cavalier and it has 2 busted swaybar end links. Do they actually serve any purpose other then just keeping the roll of the car stable?

Not all endlinks are a simple strait bolt with a sleeve that cost 4 buxs to replace. Some people also live paycheck to paycheck, and if the car will operate with something worn or broken, they have no choice but to use it.
Also, not everyone wishes to dump endless amounts of money into a car that only gets them a to b.
Does it mater if the car is a pos? Hes simply asking if she can drive it........
Answer is yes, she can drive it. If only one side is broken, take other side loose tell she can replace both sides. Car will not take cornors very well, sudden meanuvors at high speeds will make the car loose control quick!! I suggest only driving necessary trips untill it is fixed.

alright thanks for the info guys. The car is a pretty big pos. She's only driving it for now because it's all she has. We already bought end links but I don't know how i'm gonna get them in. Both sides busted from being so old and I think the swaybar either bent or shifted in the bushings. The swaybar hole doesn't line up even close to the hole in the a arm. Guess i'll eventually find a way to fix it.

Try to get some lube in between the bushings and the sway bar where is mounts in the center under the engine. Work some lube in there and then the sway should be able to work left to right. My wife has a 93, so if you got any questions, just ask and i will take a look at hers and give you my best guess.

did you by endlinks SPECIFICALY for her car? Not universal endlinks?
My old dodge dakota, and my grand prix, both have(had) endlinks that zig-zaged, not strait.
