Bushing Replacement.........

well guys i'm collecting parts for my suspension rebuild, and am kinda hung on bushings, poly vs rubber

kinda concerned with a loss of ride quality, and squeeking.

although, i'm gonna switch to the Moog Iroc style replacement springs, so its gonna stiffen up as it is...

also, my local junkyard has a plethora of f-bodys, so what cars had what sway bars, i'm starting with an 84 v6 car, that has been switched to v8, it has v8 springs in the front with the switch

so where can i get the big bars,

and what should i do for bushings, ??????

and any other thoughts are cool too?

what do you expect out of the car, or use the car for. if you just drive it go with OEM style parts.

mostly just a weekend driver, occasionaly drag, i just want it to feel tighter more responsive, more predictable...

in all honesty its pretty sloppy at the moment, i mean its 20 yrs old, so obviously its time for some new stuff, cuz the body is great, just faded. (compliments of AZ).

i rode in a friends 86 Iroc-z, and liked it maybe a bit too rough, but he has the 245/50-60?/16's

and i currently am running 14's so i'm sure thats where some of the sloppyness comes from, and i want to uprade that as well, but i prefer a bit more sidewall so i will prolly only go to a 15inch with some width like a 245 or so

i really should have an older car cuz i like the 70's muscle look with the big tires out back, and somewhat smaller up front and that angry stance,.......you know where i'm goin with that, although not to the trailer park side

I just hade my suspension redone, with the some of the guys on the board. My car is a 92, and te two smaller bushings in the from LCAs were cracking already. It is time to replace them, especially of you have a lot of miles on the car. I upgraded to ES poly. What a huge difference. I too went with the Moog set up. The front is firm. Not harsh, not noisy. I do have the KYB AGX struts. This combo feels really good. I had no Idea it was so crappy before. Some of the hard bumps are not much hardser that what your feeling now, so going with poly is (not in my case) not as noisy or rough as some make it out to be. Since your going stock replacements with spring and most likely struts... you really should suffer no ride comfort.

I noticed a firmer, more responsive ride when I went to Energy.
