A arms difference?

When I bought my front right lower control arm for the front right the guy asked if I had 15 or 16 inch wheels. He didn't have any for 16, so I bought the one for 15's because i was in desperate need of one and I was not aware of any difference. Is there a difference? My right tire sits about an inch and a half further back than my left, although everything else sits right. I could have bent the frame, but before I put it on the rack for $50/hr I was wanting to make sure that there's not a difference in the A arms.

the only difference that i know of is the location of the steering stops was different for the two rims. I believe the 15inch A-arms could turn more....or it might be visa-versa. but no dimension changes at all....so something might be bent.

The bumpstop is the only difference, cause the 15's are narrower than the 16's stock.

I had the same problem as you, and I had to replace the a-arm, the k-member, and somehow I managed to crack my centerlink.
The k-member made the most difference. Theres a stud on top of it that I sheered off in my wreck.

If you want to save a few bucks just center punch the rivits on the steering stops and drill out the rivits. The rivits are soft metal. Install a shim about 1/8 thick between the steering stop and the control arm. Use Grade 8 bolts with lockwashers and locktite.

BTW, 15" wheel steering boxes and 16" wheel steering boxes don't have unique internal steering stop dimensions. The turning radius solely depends on control arms i.e. wider stops for 16" wheels (larger turning radius) 15" wheels use smaller stops (tighter turning radius smaller)

So it isn't necessary to replace your steering box unless you want the quick ratio box.
