Stupid motor mount question...

Well I have the springs out ect ect. and I pulled out the motor mounts. Stupid question....Theres three bolts...three nuts....three washers. When i put the bolts...nuts...washers in it goes like this right????

bolt - motor mount - k~member - washer - nut

On a second note...I was told by a parts store that Moog doesnt make motor mounts. He recomended that I go to GM to buy them. $160 for 2 mounts!!!!! (my cost...lists for 200 for 2) I suxed it up and paid it because you cant beat dealer parts for OE replacement. Is there any other company that makes NON-poly mounts for our cars?

Right....

That's a buttload of jack to lay down for motor mounts. I just went with ES mounts, don't have any info on other companies, sorry.

$160 for 2 mounts!!!!!
And not only that, you're getting the same thing you've already got that's broken, it just isn't broken yet.

But aside from that, yes you're right, the washers go on underneath with the nut.

thanks for your input guys.....

Id like to think that for $160 I got a good quality part. Think being the key word.

Re: Stupid motor mount question...

Are the washers needed since the bolts have washer like heads on them? They seem kind of pointless to me...
