I'm gonna change my rear springs soon but I got different opinions about rear spring isolators. Which is better ,
GM, energy suspension ? Or some people say Mustang's isolators?

I'd just reuse the stock GM rubber.

ES does not make the rear ones, and after waiting 2+ months for the fronts, I cancelled my order. They kept pushing back the ship date, finally until the middle of August, so I cancelled. I used new GM ones, and the new rear ones are great compared to the old ones. Here's a shot of them so you can see the difference. They ran $11 each from the dealer.

I'm pretty sure it 10019587, that's what the online manual on the homepage shows.

I took out my spring isolators mostly cause I wanted to drop the car alittle more (before I had the coil overs) but also cause I wanted the best handling possible. And the spring isolators although they dont affect it that much. Still would softent he suspension ever so slightly. So I just took them out...kidna ****ty though cause of the slight squeaking.

I just ordered GM ones today. The number was 10290379. Now I wonder if they are gonna send me the older ones unlike Ed's.???
The guy asked me the year and the model ( 87 firebird ). Should I have asked for newer model isolators ???

By the way, he told me the list price was $15 each. But he could get them for $13. And I told the guy I know people getting them for $11. Then he said " Oh , I can match that ". What's up with that ? I didn't know you can bargain at GM part store !

I may be wrong with that part number. I got that from the CD-Rom demo link on the homepage. I only asked for the isolators and he only showed one part number, so I guess you'll get the ones I got. Those metal backed ones are probably too expensive to make for GM anyway.

I just ordered the same part today and I got the same part number as you. The price was 10.84 a piece. The other part number above he said was for a 4th gen he thinks.

I just installed the new design and When comparing the old to new design ones it seems the new ones have like an extra inch os support. As of right now it seems my rear has been raised an inch.

Hey guys. I just got my Iroc back on all 4 wheels now, tightened all the suspension bolts, and guess what? (I'm with Mkos on this one..) The rearend seems to sit higher than it should for Eibach springs. Maybe those isolators are a bit thick. I'm gonna leave it alone for a while, maybe they'll settle down a bit, but I'm glad I kept the old isolators just in case they have to go back in.

Pics will be on my page soon.

after driving about 200 miles It seems its settled a tad. I'm now at 27.5 in front 28.25 in the rear so it settled 1/4 inch.

I do think they'll settle a bit so I'll leave them alone for a month or so while I drive the car. Front wheel looks like this:

The front looks sweet, I hope the rear settles later otherwise it's gonna look really high in the rear.
