Re: CA Legacy Plates
I'm bumping this up because some people may not know about it. If enough people sign up by January 1st, the DMV will release the blue plates used in the 70s-80s.

Re: CA Legacy Plates
In order for the plates to be approved, they need to have 7500 orders by Jan 1st 2015.
Looks like the only ones that are going to make is is the black plates.

Although not truly correct for my 88 IROC, that black plate would look great on a black car...would it be wrong of me to order one? I have seen new cars with old plates, as they have obviously had them and transferred them to their newer car

Re: CA Legacy Plates
Yeah if you order and the plate and your plate you pick doesn't get enough orders they will refund your money. But I think the black plate would look good on a black car regardless of year it was made. I just got my new standard California tags and man the white plate just stands out and not in a good way to me. California has boring plates.

Why don't you guys just paint your old plates?
We haven't had any problems with the police but not sure if we broke any laws.
