Here is the schedule for Sunday. Looks like things are starting earlier than I thought. I say we meet at Dons around 6am Sunday so we can get out there in time to get some of the better air density. Racing starts at 8am.

Weather looks more promising than last year. I went to 4 weather web sites and the averaged them for a high of 79 degrees with a low in the higher 50's. So maybe if we get an early run in the temperature will still be in the 60's. A whole lot better than the 80's and 90's of last year.

The weather situation for Sunday at Fontana keeps getting better. Here is the forecast from 4 weather sites. Some call for cool, overcast in the morning and breezy. Hopefully this makes up for last year.

Accuweather high 68

Lows are in the mid to upper 50's.

Air density out there today at 10:00am was 1302. So we need to get at least one pass before 10am.

doesnt look like i'll make this one. for a few reasons: Car is not finished, I just realized its memorial weekend (traffic from UT to CA would be a nightmare), and i just got put "on call" at the ER... sucky.. you guys have fun, I'll be patching up the local morons who come into my ER thinking its cool to drive their 4 wheelers, and toys without helmets (stupid UT no helmet law)

Weather update: Things are looking good temperature wise. High around 70 low around 54. However the National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement that there is chance of showers after 11am.

So I would say it is imperative that we meet at Dons by 6:00am and get out to the track as soon as we can and make a couple of runs. Also the density altitude looks to be very good in the morning and as the temperature rises so does the density altitude. So if we are looking for good track times we need to get out there early. Racing starts at 8:00am and tech opens at 7:00am.

One more thing. I was thinking of picking up two dozen donuts on the way to Don's shop. Will that be enough?

Ok meet at Don's shop and leave at 6:05 am, head to the Farmer Boys restaurant just South of the Cherry Ave exit at 7:00am, and get to the track and get in line shortly after. Hopefully the line will move better this year.

Allen, yes 2 dozen should be fine. What are the rest of you going to eat?

Remember to wear long pants, bring your helmets, and walkie-talkies, and a cooler full of drinks.

EDIT: Heheheheh, the weather situation just keeps getting better. Now they are calling for 15-20mph winds out of the West. So as suggested, dress warm.
