Formula Bulge hood and 3.5" Aluminum Driveshaft for sale
Hey guys, I've got a couple items for sale here in San Diego if anyone is interested. I have a power bulge hood of a 1988 Formula, has an 84' TA rear scoop, so it's open with the grille. I also have an aftermarket 3.5' Aluminum driveshaft. It's pretty heavy duty. It was pulled out of my buddies 95' Z28. It was vibrating and he thought it was the driveshaft but turns out it's something in the motor or tranny. It was behind a procharged 383/T56, so it's pretty stout, about a year old but in great shape. Asking $165 for the hood and $200 for the driveshaft, let me know if your interested

Not sure, I can step on my scale with it and see, it's fairly light.
edit: weighs about 12 lbs, got 11.8 according to my scale. I stepped on it 3 times by myself and got the same reading each time and then did it again while holding the driveshaft, same reading each time. I read somewhere that the stock 1pc steel shaft is around 20 lbs and some people have 2pc versions which is said to weigh around 33.

Re: Formula Bulge hood and 3.5" Aluminum Driveshaft for sale
My current GM aluminum driveshaft weighs that much. Not bad if it is an aftermarket piece. I will spread the word around this weekend with some 4th gen owners and see if anybody is in the market.
The aluminum driveshaft made a very noticeable difference on my V6 (equivalent to the 305 V8 in 3rd gens) going from a 1 piece steel to an 11lb aluminum driveshaft.

Ya this weighs about the same but is 3.5" instead of 3" and better yokes than the stock GM piece. If you find anyone let me know, thanks!
