Wow, that'll never sell. It would make for an awesome project, though.

Kinda makes you wonder... If it was hit from behind hard enough to shatter the windshield, and the school didn't want to fix it as a "class project"...
sounds to me like there might be some frame damage?

If he really needs to move and can't take the car with him, the reserve will be taken off and the car will sell for a reasonable price. Right now the owner is not in touch with reality on a damaged used car that might be worth $1000.00 in mint restored condition.

C'mon man, that guy is definitely off his rocker but that car is worth more than $1000 in mint restored condition. Hell, my car is worth more than that and its nowhere near mint.

I love how he says that it has the same engine as an 83 corvette. They didn't make vettes that year!

They made Vette's in 1983 just didn't sell them to the public. One was stolen and never recovered. I think one is at the Corvette Museum and the rest were crushed. But the TA's were 305's anyway.
Amazing things found in LA school's and College's. Someone found a 427 SOHC ford and put in his 83 or 84 T-Bird in Orange County before the engine swap law was changed. Any motor in any car prior to March 31, 1984. The car would then be smogged to the year of the motor and not the car.

Hey all - I also noticed that it has an '82 shift **** (2004R 3spd), but it looks like the 700R4 shifter plate based on the overdrive looking lettering under the shift indicator bezel. Weren't all '83 TAs the T-style shift *****????

First pic is of the head rest on my '84 T/A. Its more of a round shape. This is the head rest I have always seen on the deluxe interior non-L/S seats. The seat belt guide is shaped like a capital letter P.
Second pic shows the headrest on the L/S seat. Its larger and more blocky looking, has vinyl piping at the stitching seams, and uses the triangle shape seat belt guide borrowed from the 2nd-gen F-body parts bin. This is just like the one in the ebay auction but the car doesn't have L/S seats. Maybe its a factory goof. There seems to be a lot of weird odd ball things on '82-84 cars.

The standard deluxe seats that were in my '83 had the same headrest and the second gen style seat belt guide that are in the second picture. Same with the blue '83 that I used to own.

From what I have been told, you could still get the round shift **** all the way up to 1984, but you had to get the 3 speed auto which would be a credit in '83-'84. They were uncommon, but could be ordered. I've seen '83's with the round shift ****, but they were a 3 speed. WildJeff would be the one to know for sure. Anyway, on the Ebay car something has been changed out...either the shifter or the plate.
