Valley junkyard visit, 9/6/07

I was in the valley today, and I had sometime to take a stroll through the UPP yard on Pendleton near Glenoaks in Sunland, and I found a few things that might interest people.

From time-to-time, I'll post info like this. I do this so good parts have a shot at ending-up in the hands of real thirdgenners who'll appreciate them for what they are. But I don't 'buy-and-sell,' sorry. So these parts are still in the yard, and it's up to any interested parties to make the trip for the parts themselves. And for this trip, I found a few interesting Firebirds, but nothing to speak of in Camaros.

1990 Trans Am(gray metallic): Aluminum driveshaft(in place); LB9 engine with TPI intact; reman. SD ECM; full air cleaner assembly intact(in pieces underneath car); automatic trans; decent front bumper cover(white); good TA hood(blue metallic); according to the dash, it has the 'Performance Suspension'(I didn't check the springs, but the RPO sticker on front sway bar was DDJ with a part number of 14094244, IIRC--this is all by memory, btw); unusually small Y and I pipe(single cat); and drum brake rearend.

1982 Trans Am(primered gray): CFI engine(code 7 in '82, intact and well cared-for); full air cleaner assembly intact(in pieces underneath car); functional power bulge hood in place and not bent.

1986 Firebird, base bird(white): Factory subwoofer system intact and in good condition; front bumer cover in decent shape(not cracked or broken, but a bit deformed at the license plate bracket); LG4 engine/auto.

Cheers!

The small y-pipe and single cat is normal for a 90-92 305 TPI automatic.

I saw these cars there. That yard, and pick your part has had over 100 f-bodys at once, i go there very often to pick up odds and ends. good yard, they charge nothing for some things and too much for others, but if it fits in your pocket...
