Next week makes 7 years...
I just noticed when reviewing my profile that next week makes 7 years since I joined TGO. Where has the time gone? Lots of changes in those years, yet much remains the same. I've still got the car that brought me here in the first place. I've since added two others. Back then I wouldn't have believed I'd have started my own business, nor that it would have been sparked by my hobby. I'm not planning on going away any time soon.

Sad to have seen that brought down the way it was...Tom Keliher was a good guy to talk with, Alot better than the few that back stabbed all along.
Late 99' was about the time I joined too, as with a good handfull still here. Any knowledge of where Dan Gallagher dissapeared to?

Hey Jason,
Haven't heard from you in a while. How's life in SLO? The last time I talked with Dan was just about the time he moved to Rancho Santa Margarita. I have no idea if he is still living there.
Once in a long while I do e-mail Tom K. Tom was having some serious health issues the last time we chatted. I'll probably contact him for Christmas and see how he's doing.
I think I've been involved at TGO since around '97. That's when I first came across the message board and then met Tom and Juan at the grand opening for Morgan Motorsports.

Hey Bret, how ya doing? All is well up here, been through alot of changes over the years, most all of them for the better... I left the so-cal portion of this site due to a few members, but there are a few I miss too. I still have my blue Camaro, it has been through a few changes too, but it rarely gets driven, so it is sort of on the back burner. I have a bunch of new parts for it, but they all just sit in a pile behind it in the garage. I built a 57' Chevy for my wife and that is our toy mostly played with. I've got 12 cars total right now I am thinking about selling a few and trying to focus more time back at the blue car, I miss driving it for sure.
What happened to Morgan Motorsports?

IIRC They moved someplace over in Van Nuys' and then I guess there were problems with customers cars etc,and then Poof ...... I think one of the guys that worked there has his own shop now possiably took over the Dyno part of things, It all got pretty quiet over on LS1 about what happened. Ladis probably knows everything, but I haven't talked with him in a while.Thats just what I remember.

They seemed to do good work from what I had seen and had a good looking future.... I did not care for the lack of older technology help, but when it came to the newer motors, they had a good thing going...at least from what I saw.

From what I remember, Mike wanted to mainly work on LS1 engines once they came out and didn't care much for the L98's or LT1's.
IIRC, Derek Real (Mike's parnter) took over part of the business and Todd Smith bought the dyno tuning side. Todd had a pretty mean '89 GTA. The hood currently on my GTA is Todd's old factory hood.
I do remember Abe Finkel's '95 Comp TA that Mike did tons of work on. Abe's car never seemed to run for very long before something would break, blow-up or let go. I don't know if that was a reflection of Mike's work or if Abe was pushing his car too far while still trying to drive it regularly on the street.
