Good News And Bad News

First the Good News.I am not hurt. Now the Bad News, My 86 Trans Am aka the Little Red Car, took on a 96 Ford Pickup and lost. The guy driving turned right in front of me and it took out the entire left front and pretty much all the way down the left side almost to the gas door. The car is a total but even though mortally wounded I managed to back it up into a parking lot and park it while the Airport Police did their thing.
It still runs however the Battery was smashed so after I shut it off it would not start again. The guy that I hit told the Police he didn't see me. Oh well I will have some parts for sale once everything gets settled.
I miss it already.

Car: '89 GTA, '15 Camaro LS 6sp.
Engine: L98, LFX.
Transmission: 4L60, AY6.
Axle/Gears: 3.27's.
The car was just wrecked and already the "vulchers" are asking for parts.

Glad you're okay.

I think that's one of the most dangerous things to watch out for in traffic...people making left-hand turns in front of you at intersections.

Any pics of the car yet?

Sorry to hear that, Lang. Some people should not be allowed to drive pick ups or vans without a special license.

Well I do have the Damage Magnet, so its not like I'm with out. However that car still needs the Transmission work. I transfered the Insurence over already and I will go ahead and get it regestered and smogged with the hope I finally get to drive it. I'm still going to be looking for a daily driver.
I'm expecting that it will take the City forever to pay off. I dont expect to get much for the car,as it was exactly 10 miles from 240,000.
As for parts, thats going to be a while and will depend a lot on whether I get another Third Gen for a driver.
I really loved that car, even with all its faults and stuff that didnt work right any more

Yes it can be replaced, but its not exactly the same. I really got to know the car well. All the little noises etc. Oh well.... I have other issues now. Getting anything out of the City.

Yes... Department of Airports. Actually I hit him. He turned in front of me. The driver told the Airport Police that he didnt see me. Pretty hard to not see a "RED" car LOL ....

I was in the #1 lane of a three-lane highway, and a guy turned right into my lane instead of his own lane. He said the same thing, he didnt see my bright red car.
