Fontana Raceway 5/14/05

Fontana Raceway 5/14/05
The next street legal drag races are this comming Saturday 5/14/05. The racing starts at 4:00pm and the gates open at 1:00pm.
I will be at Don's around 9:00am to help prepare and load things up. I suspect we will leave around 11:00am or so. Looking for 12.6's and 106mph. Weather is getting warmer so that may be harder to do.
All that are racing are welcome to meet there and caravan out to the track. Be sure to bring your insurance, drivers licience and a helmet if are going to be going 13.99 seconds or faster.
I think Don is going to get into the 12's this time out as he has been knocking on the door and most likely solved his 4500+rpm fuel problem.

Cool. What's are you up to on the 13th?
I plan to go, but alot can happen in a week! I am still shooting for 13.99 and under... Maybe I can get there early and save a spot in line like Jerry did last time. What will the weather be like I wonder.

I'm going too
I'm gonna be going too. Gonna take my GTO for the first time. Can't wait to see what she does. Haven't been to the track for almost a year, so I'll be a bit rusty. Can't wait to see your guys kick a$$ cars too. See you guys there.

Hi Diggler86
Yes your regular car insurance is what they are looking for. No you will not need a helmet. If you have not attended one of these meets we will be glad to help you out and give some pointers. Don has been at this game for quite some time and knows the ins and outs. Allen

Got a question for you guys
I have the whole day off tomorrow. And gonna be waiting for a friend to. I wont get there till 1:00 or 1:30, do you think I'm cutting it close by not getting in. Or should I ditch him and wait for him inside, if he gets in?? Just asking because I hear a lot of people show up and they turned down a lot of people. Thanx

As far as the 13th went, it was warm, upper 80's to low 70's by the end of the night. Track was hooking pretty well for me, all mid 1.8 60's. Even with the 10 mph headwind, still managed a new best, see sig.
