What have you done to your 3rd Gen Lately 2005

Maybe it should read, "what has Don and just about everybody on the board done to your 3rd gen lately..."

I know I'm going to forget somebody who helped, or some mod that Don put on the car. Uh, a BIG HUGE THANKS to Don, Kevin, Allen, Branden, David, ...uh Lon, Mike, Vincent, ...Alex, and anybody else who stopped by Don's shop this week.

I'll list the mods tomorrow, after racing, in case something should happen... & anybody who goes to the track gets to see first. Basically what I've discussed all year, no surprises.

Sounds Awesome Julie.. Im going to do my best to make it out there every one.. Even know Im kinda tied up with a lot of things right now.. Tonight something major happened.. I'll tell the story tomorrow.. I had an encounter with one of my crazy neighbors trying to assault me with her Suv!

So Julie I hope all these great efforts really make a change with your car.. And Of course they will.. Now you get to look forward to the good mods.. We talked today on what you think will be next hehe.. That's just the way it happends Julie.. Now remember this factor.. Don't break it completely. Your smart you know when you need advise what's wrong and not abuse it further.. We Know Don can get that all solved if it does happen soon.. So show em how to drive Julie

Congrats Julie, glad to hear your GTA is coming together the way you planned.

As for changes to my thirdgen, the IROC if off getting a new cat installed and exhaust donuts as well. I have a brand new O2 sensor as well at home to install - yes as you have probably guessed it's time to have the IROC smogged again.

New GM distributor, new spark plug wires, new ignition coil, new AC Delco IAC, and possibly new injectors depending on what the ohm test gives me tomorrow. Starting to run out of things that haven't been replaced on this car yet Still can't move itself more than a mile without randomly choking and stalling out

Insured the Blue '83 today... Finally driving a T/A again.

Silver '83 has been sitting basicly dead since Christmas Hopefully it will be running soon. Got some Recaro seats for it and and slowly getting the interior ready to drop in after the new motor is in.

Guess I should finish list the mods before posting about the racing Saturday....

Don installed: the Edelbrock runners (they'd been ported to about 1.660" ?,) (and gave alot of trouble to install...) TPIS intake manifold; (used to be Mike Redd Rocket's) Don's custom headers, Y pipe and cat back exhaust; SFC's, TDS steering brace, a pan hard rod that Branden gave me. There were a few other minor things I'm forgetting... New plugs and 8mm wires... It already had a flowmaster muffler.
I also bought a hatch cover and 2 speed rated 245's yokohamas from Alex.

The car handles excellent now. It still has the stock chip, no tuning yet.
Thanks again to Don and company.

Lately, a custom nose job, I guess my brake problem was a bit more serious than it seemed. If anyone has a lead on anything forward of the radiator I'd appreciate it.

Got a great deal on a brand new set of lexan t-tops on eBay. They arrived today by UPS. All 5 pieces. Drivers side is in one piece (or so I thought on initial inspection. Passenger side is shattered in 4 pieces. I'm so pissed! Maybe I can salvege the t-top side seals and swap them onto a good set of glass t-tops. I went back to inspect the drivers side t-top. It too is broken. A chip from the inner edge front and rear that slips into the center bar. Also a crack at the rear of the same edge. So much for the killer deal I got on them.

Engine: Last time I checked...
Transmission: See "Engine"...
Let's see – I dropped in a new MSD distributor, have a new all aluminum race radiator waiting to go in and new G-Flex hoses. AC delete will happen when the radiator goes in. Oh, and I finally had Don install the Global West SFC's back at Christmas time.

I need some new tires as well as new strut towers to help eliminate a nasty clunk that has developed in the front end. Some Spohn tubular front A-arms are also on the wish list. I also need to install the passeneger seat harness belts.

Otherwise, the GTA has been sitting covered up in the driveway. It will make an appearance at the April 2 meeting.
