I need to borrow someone brains

Well I'm gonna be doing a whole engine rebuilt on my GTA. I was wondering if any of you guys can point me to a good engine combo. I want to make it to a 355 or 383 and will be putting a power adder. Don't really care of keeping my engine combo a secret. I would really appreciate it. Thanx
Peace Out,

Decide on how much compression you want to make with the lower end or more to the point the power adder you are going to use? If it's a blower you will want to know how many pound of boost you plan to run your car at to decide a good compression for the lower end. Once that is decided you could pick a cam for the motor and then get some nice heads to go with the rest of your combo.

First of all, do you have $10,000 in cash sitting around you want to burn? That's the minimum you're going to spend.

If you dont, then come back down to Earth and give us your real budget. If you mention cheap once, then forget it.

Why that much? Nitrous is a power adder for ~$600.

Following up on Don's point, what are the plans for the rest of the drive train? Auto or Manual? What gear set?

BTW - if you plan on using a Spohn Torque arm I would order it now, I have been waiting quite a while for mine

Ya I want to be smog legal. I'm gonna be getting a loan for 10G's, insted of buying a new car. I dont think I'm gonna be putting a supercharger or turbo. I'm planning to put about 6 G's on the motor and 4 G's on the manual tranny, rearend, and suspension. I was thinking of putting an LS1 since I got one lying in my garage. But those engine parts are more expensive. So any of you guys willing to help a starving man for hp. Thanx
Peace Out,
PsychoGTA
