Phoenix AZ emissions

Hey there!
I recently purchased a ‘92 Camaro RS 305 from someone living out in the sticks. I live in Gilbert, AZ (suburban region in the east valley) and in order to get my car registered I’ll have to pass an emissions test. I’m originally from Texas, so I don’t know the procedure behind testing and what it’ll take to pass.

The P.O. did an EGR delete and got rid of the Cat since he didn’t have to worry about emissions. I’ve read that many people have put collector car insurance policy on their vehicles, however I don’t qualify since it’s my only car.

I intend on purchasing a cheap cat from Amazon ($30 is a steal imo) but I’d like to hear your opinions on how it’ll affect my performance/testing outcome.

Are there any workarounds or tricks I can do in order to easily pass and get the car registered? Any information is useful!

Get the car completely up to max temp before you go in.
