My '91 Project

Been reassembling my '91 for about a month now. Here are some pics of the process. Engine is a 377 (4" bore, 3.75" stroke), trans is a T56. Brakes are Baer 6 piston calipers with 14" 2-pc rotors. Rear is a 7.5" with a Torsen posi and 3.42 Richmond (till it breaks!)

Could you give me a front shot of the pulley system? I'm thinking about doing the same thing with my brothers car.

Looks like stock serpentine belt with an AC delete pulley.

Re: My '91 Project

I'm aware of that but it looks like it also has the smog delete pulley as well. I haven't seen the two of them together before so I'd like to check it out lol

Has a/c and smog pump delete pullies. It still uses the stock routing and stock length belt. I/ already had the smog delete pulley before I read the tech article on eliminating it completely. But at least it will be easier to remember the belt size. I will post a pic later.

Re: My '91 Project

The intake is a Holley Stealth Ram. I painted it black and hand-sanded the top ribs to give them that brushed look. The valve covers I got off of Ebay years ago for $25 new. They are cast aluminum and look just like some Moroso ones I have seen except for the script. When I got them they said "Chevy" and "Power" where the oil cap and PCV grommet are. I drilled them out and added a bolt-in baffle on the PCV grommet. You can just see the two little allen headed bolts on the top and bottom of the grommet. Thanks for the support!

Re: My '91 Project

Sounds a lot like the combo I had for a while. I loved it! I broke the rearend after a year and had to step up. If you drive sensible and never miss a shift the stock will hold out for a long time. I have been debating the merits of a Kmember for a long time this thread gets me closer to pulling the trigger.

What really caught my eye is your overflow tank. Would like something like that for my meth injection.

Nice build!

My buddy bought my old engine to pit in his thirdgen. It ran that good. The C950has always been perfect for me. With a wb on it there is not much I can't account for. Thought about stepping up to an avenger for the ignition stuff, but I am not having any issues at this point so.

Re: My '91 Project

The overflow is the Canton piece. It was a little pricey but I love the way it looks and it is a direct bolt in. I don't know if I will keep the C950 when it is done though. Now that I own a load-bearing dyno and tune for a living I think I will just keep the stock ecm and burn a chip for it. I hope the rear lasts that long in my car. It does have a new posi, 3.42's (crappy ratio but stronger than 4.11's) and a girdle cover. My clutch is a McLeod street twin so it won't be kind to the rear! Thanks for your support.
