Anyone have used GTA wheels?
Been hunting for awhile now.. really want some... There was a guy selling a set for $1300 (no tires) but that's a bit steep. Could get a reproduction set with tires for that much...
If anyone has any for sale or knows where I could find some that'd be awesome.
If not... I'll keep hunting!

Re: Anyone have used GTA wheels?
It all depends on your wallet man, but your best bet is one of these:
craigslist (always something new on there)
junk yard (some you-pull it may have some, or give any that are local in your area a call).
Ebay (someone's bound to mention this obviously). The question is, what's your limit. http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trk...All-Categories
OR maybe check around the classifieds on here as well, as I'm sure someone is bound to have a set you're looking for.

I have a friend in Ohio that has a few sets. What color are you looking for? I will give him a shout sometime about them. Might be able to get them out here when my brother moves here.

Re: Anyone have used GTA wheels?
Either gold or black. My car is a dark blue so it works either way...
I've been hunting on Craigslist. Going to check out a set of gold wheels tomorrow.. Hopefully they look good. If I don't get them I'll let you know so you can hit up your friend.
Thanks guys.

Re: Anyone have used GTA wheels?
Thanks. Still looking.. Ebay sucks though because of shipping. Was trying to get a set with good tires on it...since mine are running low.
Might be looking into some nonstock wheels too.. Z06 (black) usually look good on a TA but gotta get wheel adapters. But I love the original GTA wheels the most.

Re: Anyone have used GTA wheels?
FINALLY GOT THEM! WOOOO!!
I'm excited... Just bought some GTA wheels for my TA with some good tires too! They are pretty clean. Just need to be cleaned up and polished a bit. But some of the best "used" ones I've seen.
Feel's good to do something to my car besides annoying minor repairs.

Re: Anyone have used GTA wheels?
If the we're black front's I'd take em.
Sh*t according to the research I did, I think I have all rear's on my car. I talked to the guy afterwards and he said he had them on his TA for years with no issues.
I should get spacers for the front huh? Unless I can find 2 fronts soon =\

Re: Anyone have used GTA wheels?
I think I went to go see that exact set awhile back and passed due to them being all rears, noticed tie rod scrapes on the inside edges. Yeah you'll need a spacer in front to get enough clearance.

Re: Anyone have used GTA wheels?
How bad can it get? Can I go for a little bit with them like that. I dont' hear any scraping at all... doesn't rub. I think I have a bad tire rod to begin with. =\
What size spacers would I need?
Do I have to order them online or can I get them locally.

Re: Anyone have used GTA wheels?
1/2 " SPACER WORKS . BUT YOU WILL NEED TO PRESS OUT THE OLD STUDS FROM THE FRONT ROTORS AND REPLACE THEM WITH 2.5". ITS THE ONLY WAY THAT I KNOW. I HAVE THE SPACERS AND I HAVE THE PRESS TO DO IT.

Re: Anyone have used GTA wheels?
DONT DRIVE AROUND WITH RIMS SCRAPING TIE RODS . RIMS WILL BE DESTROYED AND POSSIBLE BLOW OUT CAN HAPPEN. YOU DONT WANT THAT.

How much would you want for the spacers and how much to help me do?

Re: Anyone have used GTA wheels?
From looking at the pics looks like u got fronts, in that case you dont got to worry about the rubbing issue because the backs wont rub ...my GTA's have the deeper lip in front and the smaller lip in back...you can also look inside the rim and they should say front or back....at least mine do

I remember looking at them I wanna say I remember at least 3 saying Back or rear something.... I asked the guy "the rears are rear and fronts are front.." He said he wasn't sure but that he had this set up on his TA for a few years with no issues. He's got a 3rd Gen Camaro... 2 4th gens... a 2nd Gen.. and just sold 2 TA... So I trusted his judgement. =\
I don't hear any noises or anything when I drive or turn. Anything specific that a scrapping tire-rod should do? Damn I wish I had a garage

I think I have rears because the lip's are all the same size. The inner lip doesn't seam that deep to me.

Re: Anyone have used GTA wheels?
Pretty smooth. Nothing jagged... But I'm not gonna push it. I don't drive it everyday, only when I have to. I've driven it 3 times since I got them. Not too far either. Hope I can get it fixed soon or find some cheap fronts to swap my tires on.

CRANK WHEELS TO ONE SIDE AND CHECK INNER LIPS FOR DAMAGE WITH A FLASHLIGHT. THEY SHOULD ROTATE FREE WHEN ON JACK.
