Emissions in Phoenix

I have a 1987 Trans-Am with a 305 TPI that has been driven less than 1000 miles in the last 5 years. I want to run a tankfull of gas with fuel injector cleaner than take it to emissions. Anybody know what a good ratio of gas to alcohol and what type of alcohol to use to increase my chances of passing. Thanks

Re: Emissions in Phoenix

3 bottles of rubbing alcohol in a half tank should do you good. I did this and came out fine. So did a few other people I know. Good Luck!

Thanks I will give it a try. Is that 70 or 90 %?

Re: Emissions in Phoenix

you dont necessarily need 90%, just go to frys or wal mart and get the large bottle of alchohol, i used 3 of them on half a tank

Re: Emissions in Phoenix

Thanks guys as I passed emissions today with all numbers alittle above mid way. I used 1 large bottle of alcohol to 1/2 tank of gas. Now to go get some plates so I can enjoy it.
