Hey sorry I didn't get back to you via PM, mine's out of commission right now. Lent it to one of my buddies who of course cracked the inductive pickup in half

Re: Anyone in the east valley w/timing light?

hey chris where in chandler do you live.. im on alma school rd and chandler? im having this problem with my camaro.. i think i fixed the surging problem but who knows. these cars can play tricks with your mind.. but i replaced the knock sensor and its running alot better. but im still getting a rattling noise from the front of the engine in low rpms, when its in load. sounds like the timing chain is loose or the timing is being retard by the ecm.. anyone have knowledge in this problems that would be willing to take a look at the car i would really appreciate it.. but chris i would really like to check my timing.. let me know.. its ok tony thanks for the offer though.. if you know what could be causing my rattling. i would appreciate any input.. thanks
Joseph

I'm at gilbert and riggs, not too far from you. I'm no expert so I wouldn't know what to tell you but I do have the timing light if you want we can check your timing. You could also take it to Gearhead garage and have Matt look at your car he nows about a lot about thirdgens, he might be able to help you better.

Re: Anyone in the east valley w/timing light?

cool let me know if the weekend sounds good? where is gear head located?
update
i installed a new knock sensor and new passenger flange gasket yesterday.. it ran alot better but i was getting the rattling sound like the timing chain. well this morning it did do it but when i was driving home from the gym it didnt made the rattling noise it ran like it used to.. is it still like a retard timing situation? does it take awhile for the ecm to adapt to the new sensor?
