Transmission Shop in the Phoenix area
I'm looking for a recommendation on a shop where I can get the correct speedo gear put in my transmission. My car was swapped from a 2.73 to a 3.42 rear end and I'm hoping to get the speedometer to to read correctly again

Dicks Speedo and Tach. I think there are two in the valley. One is at Hayden and McKellips. Not sure where the other is.
You need a 15 tooth gray and a 41 tooth yellow.
And now matter what, do not, do not, do not let them talk you into the electronic correction box that wires into your ECM. I did that and it sucked!!!
Cruise control never did work right and speedo bounced. I will never do that again. Go with the gears. It is the right way to do it.

Re: Transmission Shop in the Phoenix area
I appreciate the responses, but I've had a couple of bad experiences with ****'s Speedo and Tach.
The first time I called up the one on Indian School, the lady that answered told me they had no technicians to even look at my car. The second time, the mechanic my family has used for 20+ years tried taking it down there while they were fixing some other problems and got jerked around by them and thus no speedo fix.
So if there's anywhere else that anyone recommends it would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
