No longer 'Wanna be an IROC'

I bought an 1987 Iroc yesterday.
305 TPI, Maroon w/ grey interior, t-tops. Needs a little work; cruise control doesn't work, one of the front rims needs to be replaced... nothing major.
I'll post pic's when it's daylight.
It's great to have my own wheels again!!!

I told you you'd find a real Iroc. Make it a dedication to your old baby! I too have an 87, as well as Willie (I think he has like, three.) Mine's mostly original, so if you have any questions, I might be able to answer. I also have the 87 Factory manual, so I can help there too.

Now if that was a 350, I'd have a clone running around Phoenix. She looks great. How's the interior?

Needs a little work. It's grey in color, which I'll won't change (even though I prefer black). The headliner is in terrible shape, but there are 2 tech articles to guide me. I redid the one in my coupe, t-tops don't look that easy.
It will take some work to get it to where I'm happy with it.

If you don't wanna go with re-doing it, I was looking, and I *think* it was classic industried that made an ABS headliner that's cloth covered with near matching cloth (I have no idea what this near matching is about) but all of their cloth matches all of their clothed products. So if the interior was totaled, you could buy an entire set that looked stock and matched. I think their door panels have ABS and so do their sail panels, which is nice, as the GM cardboard was a horrid idea.

I also hear there are some good yards up there. I wish you luck!

Nothing beats a highway drive with the T-Tops down and the sunburnin' yer face. I love every minute of it. Sadly, it's been frigid rainy down here.

Sure, I like wind noise so much that the next Camaro to park alongside my two hard-top Camaros will be a ragtop -- a convertible is the ultimate "summer evening" cruiser! If anyone knows of a project ragtop, let me know, my new house has six garage spaces, four are unfortunately empty...
