I won't be there on the 31st, because it's my anniversary. But I will be there June 6,7. I'll get with Tom and follow him up.

Wow this is awesome, this is having a better turn out then I thought it would! Now everyone thats spoken up needs to turn out! Anywho, as you see I have done (refer to top line of my signature) I put an announcment for it in my signature. If anyone doesn't mind, I'd appreciate it if maybe you could also. Tell them to e-mail me or check this forum or something...whatever you think may work. Maybe we can clue in some of the Arizonans that don't check the regional boards of what it going on. I'd really apreciate it. If not, don't worry about it, looks like we may have a good turnout just from the people looking at this post! LOL, I go for my second interview for my new job tmo, how much you wanna bet if I get the job the 6-7 of June will be crucial to my employment....

I just started reading these posts and posting my own. I am interested in having this get together in az. I have been trying to find some kind of org. here that was as much in to third gens as me. If we get it all set in stone I will be there.

I personally am considering this "set in stone." Plan on getting to Hooter's about 1pm on June 7 and going to the Pavilions from there.

Sunday morning...how about we meet at the Dennys off Deer Valley Rd. and I-17. That leaves us in good shape to cruise up to Wickenburg. I'm thinking 8 at the restaurant and be on the road by 9-9:30 anyone else with ideas?

when we go to hooters, we should all park in the police dept. parking lot on 5th ave, its about a 2 min walk to hooters, and I feel pretty safe about leaving all our cars there.

I agree with cg91ta, this is perdy much set in stone. If your gonna be there, be there. If not, your loss! As for the meeting point on Sunday for that cruise, I say we make the meeting point closer to Hooters so everyone knows where they are going. There is that parking lot right before you get to the Mill Ave. Bridge (headed north) that should be just perfect for that. What do you guys think?

Getting this close to complete

Ok, this is the deal...I talked to cg91ta on the phone, and this is what we determined: First off, my dad CAN beat up his dad, his mom makes better chocolate chip cookies than my mom, we both don't enjoy brussel sprouts, and we have perdy darn well figured out what is going to be happening on the June 6-8 ThirdGen Gathering! (just playin' Chris)

Friday, June 6th: Friday Night Drags @ Firebird International Raceway for all who are interested.

Saturday, June 7th: Meet at Hooters @ 1:00pm (parking arrangement TBD) about 4:00pm head out to the Pavillons Car Show and get in a group.

Sunday, June 8th: Meet around 8:00-8:30am, Near Hooters for Southern-most people, and at Denny's on 1-17/Deer Valley for Northern-most people, conglamorate at Denny's, then head out on road trip.

cg91ta should be posting some maps, so everyone will know where they are going. If anyone has ANY questions, do not hesitate to IM or E-Mail me, please! This should be a lot of fun, so make sure you're requesting the time off and you be there!
If you see something I goofed on Chris let me know so I can change it, think I got it all though!

Yep, you left off the part where I make chocolate chip cookies better than all 4 of them, combined. LOL

Everything looks great!

Any details that need to be worked out for the Sunday cruise can be done either at Hooter's or at the Pavilions.

Bring something to sit at while we are at the Pavilions!!!!

The question in my mind is how many are going to want breakfast? If we meet at Denny's should we get a bite to eat?

I will have color handout maps for the cruise (not that anyone could get lost, just in case we get seperated), which means I would like to have a general count of those interested in attending. I'll start a new thread for that.

No cookies! Maybe next time. I'm in the middle of a bet with my g-friend. The person that loses the most weight between now and Mid-June doesn't have to pay for the rental car while we are in NE and MN on vacation.

Hey cg91ta, when you get a chance, whatever maps you are going to post, could you e-mail them to me also? I'm going to put them on my web site (the one linked in my sig) for people that aren't on this thread. Thanks

He should be whenever he gets a chance, also, there are some maps that he already posted (they are on my web site too) that give perdy darn good directions to HOOTERS granted you know your freeways. Couple of posts north of this one.

Ok, after reading over this thread again (mainly cuz I was bored) I thought maybe I should bring up a few things just to make sure we get them addressed. First off, yeah, I say we do get something to eat at the Denny's before we head out. Hopefully there won't be too many people there already and we can get everyone in. Secondly, the room & board issue. Chris, you mentioned something about possibly cheap hotel rooms? Any word on that at all? Also, my apartment is only about a 5-10 minute drive from the HOOTERS on Mill, so if you are really worried about accomidations send me a PM and I'll work something out for ya...

Edit: Ohh yeah, by the way, where is that BBQ for the AZFBA? I still want to go to that!

Well, guess he already had the time. Chris posted maps in a diff. thread. You can either see them on my site or go to his post:

Also, make sure you post on that thread to RSVP. Thanks!!

I would need to know EXACLTY how many rooms we would need before I could look up rates.

At this time I've only had 2 cars RSVP for the cruise. If you're going to cruise with us, post in the other thread so I can get an idea of how many are going to be there.

If there's only going to be a couple of us 3rd gens, I'm going to recommend we open it up to AZFBA/AZLS1 and see if there are people there that would like to go.

Out of sheer giddyness of seeing a butt-load of ANY generation camaros/firebirds I would say inviting them as well would be an awesome idea, for the cruise at least. As for HOOTERS and Denny's and what not, the only thing I can think of is 'Maximum Occupancy'.....

I WANNA GO......the only problem is I have a V6 so I won't drag or race. But i'll cruise. So what are the plans exactly......for Jun 6-7. where are we meeting and where are we going? I know mine won't be the best one there ( little front end damage on driver side, plus somebody KEYED my car ). So what are the plans exactly?

BY the way I've got a 91 RS ( 3.1L ) t-tops 5 spd. It gets me around, all I care about.

you can also check page #6 of my web site out, everything perdy much layed out for ya (web page link on my signature)

Don't worry about your car, I doubt you are the only one with a V6 that will be attending. And don't feel bad, my car's nose has oxidized, and the rest of the car is bright, shiny, and freshly painted....

Well, this page has been for the most part untouched in a few days...ok, something just recently came to my attention:

Friday, June 6th, is opening day for '2 Slow, 2 Annoying.' (or as I've heard it called, 2Fast, 2Furious) There is another thread, that I'll be making a link to in a minute, about showing the ricers where thier place is. After reading through it, I though that it would be ABSOLUTLEY HALARIOUS!! They are looking for F-Bodies to show up to AZ Mills Mall around 8-9pm in a HUGE caravan all at the same time to show them that we are still in charge. What I was thinking, we can still do Firebird for all who are interested, but instead of staying there all night, we can group up and go with the other F-Bodies to AZ Mills! What do you guys think? Let me know!

Ok guys, TODAY IS DAY ONE!!! Everyone that is going to Firebird tonight I am going to be there around 5:00pm. Look for me, my car is pictured in my signature (which you should see 4-5 times in a row here because I am the only one posting on this thread) and it says "Team HORSEPOWER" accross the top of the windshield. Come say Hi so I can get an idea of who all showed up. Hope to see you there!!

P.S., my name is Bruce

Cindy and I should be there too, although it will not be right away. As soon as I get there I'll be setting the camera(s) up for filming. I'll try and walk through the staging lanes, but worst case come up and say hi to me so I know whom I'm looking for at the tree.

Well, I must say, what a turn out at Firebird. A grand total of ME. Yup, I was the only one. I sure as $#!+ hope more people show up to HOOTERS/Pavilions and the cruise....If you would have gone to Firebird though, you would have been able to get like 8-10 runs in. I sat off and watched the other cars go while I tried to let my engine cool down and still got 8 in...

Sorry guys. I could not get off of work. Same with GTA4ME. We are having a HUGE exercise here on base, so no one is off for the next week. They would not even let me take leave to go up there. I really wanted to go. Maybe next time.

That would be '90' there Chris :lala:

Yeah, I must say, those who didn't show, really missed out. I know this post is a little late and the only ones that may see this before the beggining of the cruise will be the EARLY birds, but I sure hope we see a bigger TGO turnout. From what I gathered as I was driving out of the parking lot at the Pavillions, 5 or so people from the AZFBA are going also. Lets see some TGO people!!!

CG91TA-I know I said i would be there, but havent you seen any of the posts I have made? I wrecked my car, drove it off a 6-8ft cliff on my way to canyon lake when my brakes locked up...If my car was driveable I woulda been there.

I saw them, made me sad. I just forgot.

No-one from this list showed for the cruise. It's all good. We'll do this when it's a little cooler outside.

Oh I forwarded the thread about your car to someone that *may* be interested. He's on the AZFBA board.

Well, due to the poor turnout and the fact that someone in my apartment complex thought it would be funny to put a broken beer bottle under my back left tire, it didn't happen. Like cg91ta said, when it gets colder outside we'll try again...I'm thinking early Dec. sounds the best to me.

As for the Pavillions, that was quite fun. As Chris said, only 3 people showed, but with the help of the AZFBA we had a good 10-15 F-Bodies in out little area. Ohh well, what can ya do?
