Would like to know if anybody would like to get together in Greenville SC. I am tired of seeing the Stangs have a meeting here in Greenville. Let me know my email is adalinebacker@hotmail.com or my number is w:232-7121 h:292-6058.

Speaking of the weekend of the 24th, that's Speedstreets here in Charlotte during race weeks. Anybody want to get together for it? Downtown will be too crowded for parking but we could hook up in Pineville off of the 485 for some eats and drinks before or after. Speedstreets is Friday thru Sunday, 11 AM til midnight.
Lemme know.

Well I saw Craig there but no one else. I think we all should meet there at Kevin Whitaker when they have a cruise in and if they don't it wouldn't be hard to find something else. What do you guys think.

Well, I ended up leaving about 6:30, and I didn't see No4NJunk or the other guy who said he'd be there. I hope there's better weather next time! I guess attendance was down b/c of the threat of rain. Oh well, it was still fun!
I agree that we need more F-body ppl showing up at these things. I couldn't believe the number of "the competition" that showed up just down the road! Gotta work on that...

Hey Guys, We would love to join you when ya'll have a time and place, we are in Easley, so anywhere in Greenville is good. We were out at Kevin Whitaker Saturday Night and we definitely need more THIRD GENS at these local car shows. We will be going to Atlanta for the Fbody Gathering if anybody is up for that, we would like to have some more THIRD GENS join us.

I plan on trekking down to Atlanta for the F-Body Gathering on Saturday early in the AM, but if that falls thru, I'm pretty sure I can make it down to Greenville. I need directions to Kevin Whitaker from the Charlotte area though.
Thanks to whoever sends 'em.

Now you know I couldn't go to Hooters anyway! hehehe
If you all would like to go down to the F-body gathering, that'd be cool. I really didn't want to make the treck all the way down there and not know anyone (friends here are away or busy). We could meet somewhere here in Greenville or whatever works best for everyone. Otherwise Kevin Whitaker sounds good.
Hey, Ed, how much do you know about Greenville? Kevin Whitaker is on Laurens Road, at the end of Haywood Road. I'm not very good w/directions, but I'll give it a shot unless someone else can do it better.

I'll keep you guys posted on my end.

Well, I was going to try and go, but I've been under the weather the past few days, so I don't think I'm gonna be up to the long drive down there. I am going to meet this other guy w/a '67 Camaro at Kevin Whitaker this weekend though. He's in the middle of exams so he couldn't make the trip either. Maybe next time!

I'm not....no F-Bod gathering for me.
I might not be able to make Greenville either, but just in case, can I get some directions to the hook up spot from Charlotte, NC?
Thanks all..

Ok, I'm gonna assume that you're taking I-85 South from Charlotte. MapQuest said that you stay on I-85 for a little over 90 miles, depending on where you got on. Then it says to take the US 276 West exit towards Greenville, which is exit 48B, and that's Laurens Road. Kevin Whitaker is about 2 or 3 miles from I-85 on the left. As you're going towards it on Laurens Rd, make sure you're not in the right lane because it turns into a right-turn-only lane later.
The cruise-in usually starts at about 5:00, so you probably won't be able to miss all the cars and oldies blaring across the sound system. Hope to see some of you all out there!
Oh, and just to warn you, traffic is kinda hairy in this area, but I'm sure you deal w/a lot of that in Charlotte.

Hey guys, there isn't a cruise-in at Whitaker this weekend! They said the next one won't be until June 16th! What happened to the every other weekend thing!? Well, if you want to get together somewhere else and do our own thing, that'd be cool. Someone said something about Sonic earlier...
Wish there was some sort of consistency w/these things, but oh well...Sorry about that! Got the car all washed up and everything too!

Yeah! Super Chevy Show!! I'm gonna head down there on Saturday morning if my car is still running (having battery troubles). Can't wait for that!
Well, the guy on the phone at Kevin Whitaker said that the next cruise-in there is going to be on June 16, so we'll see what happens.

Sorry guys, I've been really busy lately....so here's the update.
I finally got my car down to a 9.1 at greer and 76 mph. Thats with a huge header leak and an intake manifold leak. Not too shabby. I just bought a set of heads, 1/2 inch fuel line and a carter fuel pump. I'm hoping for low 8's with tuning....guess we'll see.
I no longer work for chucks auto, I'll keep ya posted on that ****!
I didn't make it to kevin whit. because I was at the Sonic/main street diner show. this was like 2 weeks ago....or was it 3...hmm....I can't remember.
Anyway, my friends and I hang out in the bi-lo parking lot off of woodruff road every night (and no thats not all we do). 3 of them work there so we wait untill they get off. Usually theres my Trans Am, My friends 81 454 camaro, my other friends 78 Trans Am, a 25th ann. Trans Am, my brothers 90 camaro (and hopefully soon his monster 81 Bird) and a 96 3.4 liter firebird. There's a bunch of other cars there not worth mentioning. We were thinking of starting a F-body club but I haven't come up with a name. I'm a Graphic Designer (Or at least thats what I studying) so I'm gonna make the logos, shirts and everything.
If any of you ever get bored you can always find me up at bi-lo (THE ONE NEXT TO PUBLIX) after about 10:00 every night ( well...most every night...theres always exceptions)
Give me a call at 864-587-2296 and we can meet up sometime or just stop by bi-lo.
btw- Coop, I'm gonna call ya

Well I see that no one showed but Craig. Guys this was a great venue. Lots of cars were out and it was great weather. If we want to start something we need to commit to meeting. This was not a good start. Actually it was pitiful. Is there any interest in having a F-body group in Greenville? If so please post on here.

Good greif you all! This is crazy! You know how organized the M*st*ng club is here in G-ville, and here we can only get one guy w/his car and one w/out his car out to a show?! Even the rice crap has more ppl showing up! I mean this is the third time we've tried this after you all showed interest, but no one can get in the car and show up! At least I have an excuse for not coming in my car, but I WAS there! No4NJunk has his own thing going, but really, some of us actually work and can't be out at 10 pm! Geez! I guess we'll keep posting and see if any of you ever decide to show!

Craig,
Don't **** me off!! I work also. Sorry you have such an early bedtime.
The reason I didn't make it out there is because I'm having overheating problems. The new heads boosted my compression up almost 2 points. This caused severe overheating on a system that already sucked! Being that I live in spartanburg its near impossible for me to make it that far untill I fix my car.
I PROMISE that once I get the car running right you will see me there.
Coop,
Nice talkin with ya. Hopefully I'll resolve the situation soon. BUT.....the car does feel faster. .
