We are in the dog days of summer where everyone is a little bored and time seems to drag. So for August, we decided to shake things up a bit. On Saturday the 16th, we will meet at our regular place and time, Texadelphia on 6025 Westheimer Road at 5 pm. At 5:30, we will leave Texadelphia and cruise to a restaurant in Galveston called The Spot. For those who haven't been, it's a huge place with 5 different types of bars blended into one huge restaurant overlooking the seawall. The food is really good too!

For those of you who have been thinking of coming to one of our meets, or those who haven't been in a while, this is the one you need to make it to! We expect to break all previous attendance records with this event!

which way are you going?? have you been down 45 south at that time lately?? prepare to sit in a lot of traffic at that time. A LOT!!! oh!!! and the traffic coming from Galveston is just as bad. just saying. if you don't have a/c that's going to be a pita. would love to go. but I drive in this traffic every day. might want to think about leaving earlier. way earlier. BUT!! leaving earlier would put you in the traffic coming from Galveston. 4 or 5pm from Galveston and it is stacked up from 646 to the beltway. just food for thought. would meet yall coming through league city prolly. way too much traffic in and out this way.

As we count down to this Saturday's cruise, we would like to advise you of two changes we will be making due to feedback we have received:

1. The cruise will still depart from Texadelphia on 6025 Westheimer Road at 5:30 sharp. However, we will be making an intermediate stop at the AMC Gulf Point movie theater on 11801 S Sam Houston Parkway East, right at the Beltway and I-45. This is to eliminate the need for people from the south side of having to drive all the way into Houston just to drive back to where they came from. ETA to the movie theater will be 6:00.

2. Due to concerns about parking at The Spot, we will instead go to the Brick House Tavern on 3502 Seawall Blvd. We went and scouted it out. Not only is there ample parking available, but we are also working on getting outside tables reserved.

We think these changes will make our event more enjoyable and hassle free for everyone. We're very excited and look forward to seeing you this Saturday!
