13.6 at the track

I ran the camaro at the Baytown track last Friday. She ran a 13.6 at 99.5 mph with a 1.98 60 ft. I weight in at 3405 lb. with no driver...I was on street tires and had about a quarter tank of 87 octane, I thought this was not to bad,the only mods are k&n and 1 crank pully..Do you see where i could in prove this...

Re: 13.6 at the track

Stock L98 1LE with a K&N and crank pulley went 13.6 @ 99? Thats amazing as far as I'm concerned. I bet you'd see a decent gain with shorty headers, high flow cat, and full 3" exhaust. Nice job either way. Since it's a 1LE B4C I'd be sure and save all the original stuff you took off though

Re: 13.6 at the track

Damn! Are you sure the motor is stock? The best I have seen a stock 350 TPI car go is low 14's. I am not saying your lying, just that it is almost to good to be true. Thats stock Ls1 territory, nice!

Re: 13.6 at the track

Thank's..The times are real..and the moter is stock... I was going to try some of those bolt in rear lower control arm brackets...from UMI that give you better 60 ft times...I going to leave the car stock..minus a few bolt ons that could be easly removed..

Re: 13.6 at the track

I have seen a bone stock 350 TPI GTA run a 14.0... I would hook up some Drag Radials, and a couple bolt-ons. Definately a quick car for being so stock.

Re: 13.6 at the track

Well, my 89 RS with a 160 k mile L98 and a carb conversion with headers went 13.87 at 101 mph. That was on slicks launching like a baby to keep the rearend from breaking(which did on the second pass). This is a T5 car and has 4.10s with a 1.9 60 ft.

come on zone that is way different! L98 with a stick gets a bunch more to the ground. my 88 iroc t5,3.27,every bolt on available ran 13.3 and best of 13.02 NEVER saw a 12 wanted sticky tires but it was too far from HRP to Humble on foot
