Re: sig pic help
You need to make it smaller. Per our guidelines:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/anno....php?f=57&a=60
We are a bit lenient on this, if the signature is slightly over guidelines, but your signature is pushing it. Your signature picture is 600px × 300px. Please reduce it.
I've pointed this out to itsMikey once before. He is creating signatures that are beyond our posted guidelines.
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/anno....php?f=57&a=60
If your sig is more than 5 lines of text, or contains an image greater than 30k or 400x100 pixels, please do your best to reduce it's size.

The sig i made my self thats in my signature is 400x150(30,036 bytes) [my standard size i always use] which if you go by that px size rule is too big. yet see how small it is? I've been making forum gfx and art for a long time and i believe anything over 420p x 200p is just too big of a signature the perfect size is 400x150. And lets be honest for a decent sized (400x150) signature that acturally shows talent and skill 30k bytes is just not enough my sig is a minimal skill lv since i hvnt used photoshop in months but it's sittin at 30,036 itself

Re: sig pic help
It's the current rules.
As I stated, if the signature is slightly over guidelines it's not a big deal. It's a guideline. It's to be used with good judgment and common sense. However, some signatures, such the one itsMikey made for one92RS, are too big. There has to be a cut off somewhere.
I should also point out that it's not easy for us to know if there are violators. There is no easy way we can simply search for signatures that are X amount in size. If a signature is reported to us, and it's deemed considerably/noticeably over the guidlines, we take action. If it's not considerably/noticeably over the guidelines, it's OK. As to what exactly is "considerably/noticeably" over guidelines, that's really up to staff to use best judgment. The real world is full of examples where a person, or person(s) has to use their best judgment in deciding what's acceptable within the guidelines.
We either be strict and say anything over 400x100, and people get upset, or we can be a bit lenient and allow some "overhead". That's what we've pretty much done. Some may not agree, but it's ultimately up to Staff. I don't think your 400x150 is too bad, but the signature itsMikey created for one92RS, at 600px × 300px, is too big and noticable over the guidelines.
A signature is used to provide brief information about the author of the post. It doesn't have to be big to get the point across. It's part of a post that helps the viewers identify who the author of the post is.
If you have a suggestion as to what size should be considered the limit, feel free to let me know. The signature rule was set some years ago and we understand technology has changed and improved. Still, we have to have a reasonable limit.
one92RS, that signature is going to have to be reduced. At 600px × 300px, it's simply too big and considerably over our posted guidelines.
Thanks.

if you were going by the 400px by 100px or 30k bytes. Then theres a ton of sigz that are bigger than this. being used and made (soz mikey :x)
The sig i made my self thats in my signature is 400x150(30,036 bytes) my standard size which if you go by that px size rule is too big. yet see how small it is?
