Hi,
This has be stumped.

The other day my lock on the inside will no longer unlock, but it works fine with the key.
I have the door panels off, and all the rods are connected. I can lock the door but when I try and unlock it, it almost acts like it's not pulling it enough. I can see the mechanism moving but it doesn't quite go as far as it does with teh key. With the key it works great, but on the inside I can pull that rod until the door collapses and it won't unlock. I can lock it from the inside, but not unlock.

Is the any type of adjustment on the mechanism itself?

Try some silicone spray or even brake cleaner into the solenoid.Should free it up a bit.That worked for me some years back.

Whooa im sorry but may i ask what the hell is that on the back of your car? It looks sorta like a ram air hood style thingy but i cant figure it out, it does look cool though but what is it?
Oh and OP I have no clue why your door lock is doing that, i hae never heard of a door doing that before but maybe it's just worn out.

Also 84 1LE is there a back window there near where your head would be at while sitting? If there is then thats freaking awsome

Its a homebuilt decklid, yes, there is a back window.

I'll give that a try, hopefully that works I really don't want to take any of it apart.
