Re: April COTM ** WINNER **
Guys,
Thank you for the votes. It's an honor to be judged positively by your peers. The rest of the convertibles in the vote were amazing as well. I learned some new tips/tricks by reading the stories of the various verts in the thread. The main thing that we must take away from this site is that we must all do our best to make a positive view for Thirdgen Camaros/Firebirds. Our cars have long been the butt of some awful jokes, and my goal has always been to quiet those naysayers. Thankfully, thirdgen.org has proven to be a valuable source for quality thirdgen camaros/firebirds.
Thanks!
Tommy (Mr. IROC-Z)

Re: April COTM ** WINNER **
Car is immaculate. Has a couple miscues that need to be covered up as displayed in the picture. but very worthy car. I dont think he would have lost votes due to the lack of a hole in the dash and some dirt on the carpet

Re: April COTM ** WINNER **
you can order a dash mat from interior shops or normally oreilly and autozone also...
If you have a custom wheel shop in your area they normally can widen any wheel you want to specs you desire.

Re: April COTM ** WINNER **
Awesome car.
I try not to suggest what would look good in someone elses car as they like to do that themselves. But since you said you were trying to come up with something for the interior (and you like speed)...
I think a single hoop rollbar would bring out the car from the side view. Kinda like this one but custom to fit your car. Not a cage - just a single bar like in the second pic

Yes 3rd gens had the convertible option. I could be wrong but I believe they started the covertible factory option in 1987. That switch below the headlight **** on my hardtop is the factory foglight switch.

Re: April COTM ** WINNER **
question for you how did you manage to get the clearance in the rear wheel wells to not bottom out the second you hit any dip in the road, you are about 2 inches lower than mine is and I'm running 18x11 295/35/18's in the back of my 91 vert at factory ride height I only had 2 inches of travel before tires went into the bottom of the roof box. Ours are lower than the hard tops. So needless to say I'm interested in knowing how you pulled it off!
