4L60e transmission 1-2 shift accumulator location?
So I'm having transmission problems in both my cars right now. This is actually for my trailblazer but I'm not getting a lot of responce from the trailblazer forum and you guys seem to know alot and its pretty similar to the 700r4 tranny as I understand. When shifting from 1-2 I'm getting a pretty bad shudder but that is the only problem its having. I think this is the problem from this site http://www.twincharlotte.com/transmi...r-Charlotte-NC
3. 1-2 Shift shudder at WOT (Wide Open Throttle); delayed or abnormal 1-2 shift; There's a problem ONLY on the 1-2 shift: 1-2 accumulator piston cracked or stuck cocked in the bore. Check the yellow spring inside the accum housing for breakage. Also, if the accumulator housing walls are scored, the housing must be replaced.
My question is where is the 1-2 shift accumulator and can it be changed without dropping the transmission? Any help would be great! Thanks!

16) This assembly is a modified 1-2 accumulator piston and its housing, which improve and regulate the 1-2 shift. Gear Star tailors the combination of springs for different combinations.

Thanks for the reply! Was that a how to article on it from carcraft? The link you gave didn't work and I'm searching their site but haven't found anything on it. How did you find it?
