1. Check for codes, never replace anything without knowing its really faulty.

2. Setup a fuel pressure tester and see if fuel is the problem.

I dont have a check engine light on, but do you think it could still throw a code?
Also what are some ways to check your fuel pressure?

Stock TBI system does not have FP test port. You can install inline FP gauge adapter available from several vendors:

Stock TBI system runs around 13PSI but I have seen engines run as low as 9 PSI. Anything less than 10-11 PSI you'll get stumbles and less than spirited performance. With miles that you have on you car it is likely that you have OE Fuel pump. Ninety percent of the time fuel pump is tired and output section hose connecting FP to the gas tank feed through is leaky.

Start with fuel pressure test....

I purchased one from Autozone and its perfect, part number is CP7817. Its $50 but can save you the time and money of going around replacing parts that don't need to be replaced. Also yes it can throw codes without the light coming on, do the paper clip method and extract the codes and maybe that can shed some light on what might be going on.
