hopefully somebody can provide me with a good answer soon i just spoke with a guy off cl he told me he has 6 or 7 sets of older sbc heads hes tryin to get rid of he said 40 $ a set which is cheap this is for tomorrow only he said hes got a trailer full of scrap metal going to the yard tomorrow and hes cleaning out the garage so whatever heads are left by the time he leaves for the junkyard are going with him im supposed to head to his house around 2 pm i need to know if theres and specific heads i should be looking for as i know absolutely nothing about heads besides the heads i have suck so are there any stock sbc heads other than vortecs that would be worth my time looking for tomorrow? i need numbers im literally gonna write em down and if i match up some numbers ill buy em and have my buddy port em for me... thanks guys

If you've got dished pistons, the 305 heads might be worth your while, they'll bring the compression up nicely. Might want to get larger valves put in them, but a little port work etc would go a long way on those.

The 113 heads are corvette aluminum L98 heads, I very much doubt you'll find those. Your best bet is some 083's (L98 heads) or 062/906's (Vortec heads).

Dont expect to find any of those, though.

i happen to have 2 305 z/28s that dont run might they have the 305 heads mentioned? one is an 85 z/28 305tpi and the other is an 87 z/28 305 tbi... id rather not yank the ones off the tpi motor as were trying to restore it and make it run for now until my bro has the money to build it but the tbi was purchased as a parts car in the first place but its at my aunts atm the city was complaining about us having 3 non working camaros a boat that dont work and a busted jeep in our yard/driveway i hate living in a "nice neighborhood" everybody always has something to complain about... and we already got rid of half our **** i keep sayin we as in me and my brother parents divorced sold their house so me and my brother got a house together figured why pay 700 a piece for one bedroom apts. when we can pay 1200 a month for a 4 bedroom house...lol sorry for rambling its 6 am im tired and anxious as hell to get my camaro back on the road

The '85 should have 416s, but the other wasn't offered. The '87 trucks did get a 305 TBI, but '87 F-cars got either a carb or TPI. Either way, the '87 should have the good 081 heads, but you should pop a valve cover to confirm.
