Wont rev past 3000 RPM while driving.
The car is an 87 camaro iroc, when i start it up it has trouble like sputters then idles fine when its cold. I went to take it for a drive and it wont rev past 3000 RPM when i hit the gas itll just drop off, no power at all. i get the feeling its fuel or spark or something else.
i honestly cant remember the last time the filter was changed but im going crazy right now i just dont wanna pay an abundant amount of money to get a shop to figure out the prob.

Yup, got the same problem on mine, won't go past 3000 rpm while driving hard. Power just drops off. Idles a little rough but is fine when it warms up. 84 TA, 305 carbed, automatic. I'm wondering if it's a carb needing to be rebuilt issue.

Yea! i just did a tune up 8mm taylor wires and NGK plugs. They were the universal wires but i fixed the ones i screwed up. when it gets to 3000rpm, itll go to about 3500 if i just step on it and the needle on the tack will flutter and go no further. it seems like engine is not getting something

Is it popping or backfiring? Is your convertor or exhaust plugged?
