700r4 to mph to rpm calculator
I'm trying to find a good calculator to figure out what rpm my engine would be turning at at which speeds when I swap out the rear end. There are a lot of T5 one's, but I can't find a 700r4 one. I need to know what first and second gear shifts at under WOT and what rpm my engine will turn at 60 or 70 with 3.42's and 3.73's. Thanks!

Re: 700r4 to mph to rpm calculator
I have all these calculations on a spreadsheet for comparing these gears....I'll post them tonight when I get home for you....I did speed, cruising, rpm drop when shifting, etc. etc.
You'll like it, be on here about 5 hours from now.

Gear Rear end Speed
ratio ratio Gearing per 1000 rpm
3.06 3.42 10.47 7.28 mph
1.62 3.42 5.54 13.76
1.00 3.42 3.42 22.30
0.70 3.42 2.39 31.85
For the 3.73 gear
Gear Rear end Speed
ratio ratio Gearing per 1000 RPM
3.06 3.73 11.41 6.67 mph
1.62 3.73 6.04 12.61
1.00 3.73 3.73 20.42
0.70 3.73 2.61 29.18
If you want to shift from 1st to 2nd at 5,500 RPM with a 3.42 rear, you will shift at around 40 mph.
I hope this is what you want.
