How do I remove weather strip adhesive?
I’m trying to replace the weatherstrip and I need to remove the old adhesive. I tried 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover but it didn’t work that great. Is there a product specifically for remove old weatherstrip adhesive? Trying to scrape it out is going to be a pain.

I started with the adhesive remover, went to a sraper and ended up using a wire wheel with a light touch, then it came off!
I'm painting the entire car anyway!

My secret? 3M brake cleaner. No lie. Comes in a spray can - get a few and you'll be done in no time. Enjoy
BTW - I did what you're doing a while back and have a post about it. Tried the 3M remover, Goo Be Gone, lots of elbow grease, etc. My uncle used to be a diesel mechanic and told me about a 3M rep telling him to use the brake cleaner on their adhesive to remove it. Worked great!

yea, thinking the same as 3.1eyecandy, try brake cleaner if not maybe a rag with carb cleaner on it. just make sure it isnt messing up your paint if you arent repainting the car.
