Lower ball joint replacement 89 GTA

I need to replace lower ball joint on GTA and was wondering how hard it is and the procedure? I have done them on cars without struts. But have never done them with strut front ends.

yes this is the right way to do it...
last time i did a pressed balljoint it took me some times to pop it out and but it in, because i'm not very strong, but that's how i do, exept i use a floor jack and a big socket instead (so it pushes on the bottom of balljoint around the zerk hole) of the bottle jack, if you but in a greasable balljoint you dont want to mess the grease fitting hole!!! happend to me once, but used a tap and it was fix...

I used the method from mmr23s link just a few weeks ago and it worked great. I even used an old hydraulic jack instead of a bottle jack and everything went fine.. No special tools used other than pickle fork to seperate the spindle from the old ball joint

yeah. i modified the text to read use a socket the same size so not to damage the thread hole for the zerk fitting. just did another car 2 days ago. 1.5 hours.
