Do you are sure this tranny can handle the power of that engine?

I honestly don't know, it has so far. It might not last if I was launching at 4k rpm with slicks.

Sorry I plan to keep the car. I have decided to just part everything out. It's a smoking deal as a whole package, but nobody ever had cash in hand.

I am definitely parting everything out. Are you still interested in the hsr? I'm selling the hsr complete except for the injectors.

Just bought a 383 and need a HSR set-up (already have 30lb injectors)-this has regular alum. heads on it. 383 is (atk from summit), is your HSR made for this style? I am interested in it if it is.

As far as I know it will bolt right up, the 383 you bought is most likely a roller block. Which 383 did you buy?

Re: 355 HSR/700r4 combo

I bought a roller block from summit. It is the HP36 (atk brand). 425 hp and 465 tq (I think w\out looking at paperwork). Gen 1 4bolt 1pc RMS. They are not specific on the heads, I've seen them with dart, edelbrock, and some other brand of aluminum head on this specific engine. I have been waiting to find out specifically which head it will be, but haven't heard from them yet, nor has the engine showed up yet, but I want a HSR set up on this, just haven't bought one yet because of not knowing which style to get.

Re: 355 HSR/700r4 combo

Unless the heads are vortec heads, my hsr will bolt up. If you get vortec heads with the new motor then you'll have to run the vortec hsr.

It might seem a little high to the average person, but you aren't getting just an hsr. Most people are selling just the intake by itself for 400-500 dollars. I spent 120 on the AFPR, another 140 on the braided stainless lines with all the fittings, 40 for the liquid filled FP gauge. My hsr is also milled 3/16 inch off the runners so it will fit under a pontiac hood. It also has tapped holes with fittings on the back of the intake to run the vacuum lines.

Remember you can't use your stock tpi fuel lines to hook an hsr up, you have to make your own. Mine comes with everything you need to bolt it right to the factory hard lines.
