Cheap headers for a T56 Conversions?
I have read up a little bit about peopel having clearanc issues with their exhaust and t56 with external slave conversion. Any thoughtS?
Should I go with mid lengths, or longubes, what works.

I've never heard of this. Most of the issues lie with the transmission crossmember. A T56 actually allows you to tuck it up tighter because the trans is physically narrower than a 700r4 in the tailshaft area.

Still new to the fine details but I think on of the issues is with an LT1 style t56 it has an external slave/clutch fork that may have clearance issues. Also along with a T56 swap crossmember.

So no issues with longtubes/mid lengths with T56 swap crossmembers? I can use what ever brands I want for the most part?

I don't see why not. Long tubes you might need a custom y-pipe. But other than that I don't see why you would have issues. I had shorties on mine

The t56 slave is in a better position than the t5 so longtubes fit have no problems and shorties could care less cause they go down the passenger side

The crossmembers are the only problem, but that's the same with an automatic. As was mentioned earlier, the T56's are physically narrower so it's a lot easier to tuck up exhaust piping beside them.
I dont know of ANY long tubes that don't fit T56's, and T5's are only problematic because the slave cylinder sticks out farther and is oriented the reverse direction and hits the flange of the Hedmans.

no issues with longtubes and t56 here either. i went with the hawks crossmember and my dual 2.5 in exhaust is farther from the ground than the stock 6 cylinder exhaust was when the car was born
