I still have all the "New Car" papers that came with my T/A....I wish I would have had the foresight to have taken a couple pics with it at the dealer when I took delivery.

Sorry for the links but I don't know how to post the photos themselves using my iPad OR iPhone. Advice would be appreciated.

David M,
I wonder if you got a pic of my Mom's 87 when it was new on the lot. It was bought new Dec 86 from Tom Jumper, Its a 87 L98 white on grey hardtop. I will get you the last 8 of the VIN to compare to your files. I think that would be so cool, if you did. LOL

When adding a photo from the internet, copy the image link, click the yellow mountain icon in the reply window and paste the link. It will take care of the formatting for you. If you would like to do it yourself, copy the image link, then in your reply type and that will close the image and it's now visible for the world to see.
f the image is on your computer, when replying, click "Go Advanced". A new window will open. Under the reply window is an option to "Attach Files". Click "Manage Attachments" and then click "Choose File" to browse to image location. After you added the image, click "Upload"

What a great thread!
Here is my car new in 1985. The photograph was given to me by the original owner when I bought it.

With some of the things done on this site, we could probably build one out of a Camaro or Firebird!

Re: Post Pictures from back in the day.
I didn't even have my drivers license at this point. This was in 1994 or 5.
Stock 1986 Z28 carbed auto with 15x7 crager wheels. haha
Sadly, I soon rolled it on an icy road
I walked away without a single scratch! I went airborne, hit a power pole on the passenger side and as it slide UP the tree it flipped and landed on it's roof...
Luckily no one was riding with me......
Here is my 1986 Iroc( I still have it, but it's torn down ) in 1998

Yikes! Somebody was watching out for you NufNuffZ28. I can't believe you walked away from that one given where the windshield ended up.

Re: Post Pictures from back in the day.
yours must have been a busy dealership. we had 20-30 f bodies on the front lot at a time and those that got off the truck stayed in the back till they were prepped. The back was fenced off. it was quality Chevrolet in columbus, OH. I also saw the same at Bobby Layman Chevy with none in front without the chins.
Well look at that, brand new and the rubber flap is already getting stuck in the door glass.

oh my! where did you get that pic from quality Chevy??? wow that brings back memories! I worked with a teen (I was also) and he would park his gunmetal gray GTA next to that shop while we worked.. he had a paxton blower on that thing. I was so jealous since I had sold my 86ta and I missedmmy86ta..lol get it? my login name.. it started that soon after I got rid of it.

I think you are a bit older than me, I never went to Quality on a regular basis until sometime in the late 90's I guess, and it was just to the parts department. The shop I worked at often had me running after parts since we were just down the road. I remember a gunmetal Iroc often parked near the building, and often near a Firebird too. It was teal green from what I remember, probably a '91 or '92 Formula.
