Anyone in the Boise, Nampa, Meridian, etc. Area

So, it seems any posts I have found pertaining to Boise and its nearby area are rather old. It seems that the local club around here has died, which is a shame. I was just thinking it would be awesome to get as many of the third gen owners around here as possible together for a cruise-in or meet or something before it gets too obscenely cold and dreary. What do you guys think?

I wish you good luck. I was one of the co-founders of Treasure Valley F-body's back in 2008. It was very hard to get people to commit to anything. The one other guy who was serious about the club got on pretty hard times in 2009 during the recession and not sure if he even is still there or has his Camaro. Work was bad for me in 2009 there also and I moved away. With the main 2 people who were behind the club gone it didn't continue. I still have the sticker on my 4th gen. haven't had the heart to take it off, had some good times.

Good luck with your search, there are quite a few 2nd gens in the area the area on the nastyz28 forums, not sure how many Camaro5 members on there. You won't find very many 3rd gen's which is why we tried to do a F-body club.

Thanks for the good luck, but from what you describe, this is about as likely to happen as my car painting itself lol. It's too bad things went that way with the local group and people, though. And yes, I see several 2nd and first gens running around, but anytime I see a random third gen owner, they don't seem too interested in other third gens or anything...... it's odd.

I've noticed that around here as well. See a nice car, try to talk to the owner a little bit, get an attitude like ya just asked to sacrifice their first born. The way I see it unless it is a dire emergency that you need to be somewhere else there is always time to talk cars.

Re: Anyone in the Boise, Nampa, Meridian, etc. Area

I'm in McCall, original owners of 84 Z-28 305HO, still looks and runs pretty darned good - went to a couple of the Friday night and Saturday night parking lot meet n greets at the Fairview Ave and Orchard and Overland drivein gatherings a couple of summers ago, was basically treated and ignored like a piece of s--t by the "real hot rodders" there. discouraging, so I have blown it off for last couple of years (other than going to the Boise Roadster Show each year), had a lot better reception and better treatment when I lived in Dallas. Still, if any of you third gen types come up to McCall, give me a headsup and we can get together for cokes or whatever and talk Camaro and trade notes.. boby@frontier.com

Re: Anyone in the Boise, Nampa, Meridian, etc. Area

Tried to start something some time ago myself with a couple people under my othr name (rx7speed, don't ask why I'm using this name). Was able to get a couple of us to meet up at the china grand buffet. Didn't get much further then that though.

Though I was always kind of the odd man as I drove an Rx7 vs everyone elses thirdgens.
