Re: *Poll: May 2014 COTM **Voting**
Thanks so much to everyone who nominated my T/A! I wasn`t expecting it. It is a real honor to be considered along with the other *great* nominations.
This car was bought basically as a shell in rough condition. There was no engine, no transmission, and no interior. My brother and I had to round up all the parts and put everything together. In the end, I was trying to replicate an `86 Trans Am I had just out of high school, which was Red with the Carmine interior, digital dash, and GTA wheels. The 305 TPI and 4 speed auto that was in that car just wouldn`t do. The LS1 engine was built by my brother, and has a cam with 239-243 duration 608-612 lift, shaved heads for higher compression, and the heads were ported as well. It was mated to the T-56. It dyno`ed at 409hp at the wheels. I did the paint and body work, as well as the interior restoration. Some of you may remember my interior plastic and carpet restoration thread, which was hopefully useful to some of you.
Anyway, here is how it arrived:
And here it is now:
Thanks again everyone!

Re: *Poll: May 2014 COTM **Voting**
Thank you for the nomination; it is an honor to be considered alongside these wonderful cars.
I am an original owner; purchased the car August 12, 1989. That December, I drove the car out to CA from Mpls, and drove up and down Hwy 1 (ORàTijuana). When I returned and stored the car, I had put 33,500 miles on it in 4 ½ months! My car is, and will always be, a driver. To date, I have 218,000 miles on it.
My build philosophy is on agility (turning, braking, and accelerating) with an emphasis on suspension and un-sprung weight.
Powertrain: stock LS2 w/DBW pedal; 4” CAI; 2” SW headers w/3” collectors w/v-band clamps into single 4” exhaust; 4L65e; BMR trak pak & LCAB’s; 3.5” alum DS; stock 9 bolt w/3.27 gears and girdle cover.
Suspension: Swivel cup weight jacks; Spohn adj A-arms, strut towers, & bump steer kit; Kenny Brown 3 pt STB & LCA’s; Global West Wonderbar & SFC; Racecraft 2” drop spindles (road race); alum hubs; Wilwood FSL 6 piston calipers; 2 pc rotors; Koni yellows w/ #850 springs; QA1 rear coil-overs w/#200 springs; adj PHB; stock 36/24 sway bars.
Interior: Raamat; new carpet; Corbeau TRS seats w/rears and console lid upholstered to match; JVC KDA-815 ( 2 USB’s, Bluetooth, & Microphone); Kicker speakers in stock locations.
Full body & paint restoration in 2013 - w/4th Gen Wing.
Thank you for your consideration!
Brian

Thank you to everyone for the nomination! Here are a few pictures of my car. Its a 1991 Camaro Rs 3.1L. I have done a few thing to it over the years and mainly its just a bracket car at a few local drag strips arround where I live. Sorry i was having problems pasting the pictures in full size onto the post so I attached them instead.

Lots of worthy cars, but I voted for Hawk312. Very stock looking inside & out. Especially with that ultra 80's digital dash.

All very nice cars. But I'm going with Hawk312. I seen Hawk312's car in person. It is the most beautiful thirdgen I've ever seen. Paint, Interior, Drivetrain, etc.. It's an amazing car!!
