A word of advice, get rid of the "triangle of death". The foam in the air cleaner breaks down and get sucked into the carb. Not to mention getting fuel soaked and catching on fire.

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics
No joke? that makes sense I suppose, before the carb was tuned I did send flames shooting out through that thing once (lol). I have a circular cleaner as well, so I can just swap it out. After hearing your comment and doing some googling I think I will. Thanks for the heads up!

This is my 350, recently installed a new comp 280 cam and magnum roller rockers. It gets it fuel from a little 650 Edelbrock. This car started out as a TBI 305.

Did you ever consider how you're going to get that thing out of there? You must have no woman or one with an understanding that I would kill to have my wife have. I have some parts in the house, I'm sure we all do, but if I had that going on in my living room one of us would be moving out. Probable me, court mandated.

Thanks Slick, it's a work in progress as always! Hoping to replace all the black rubber hoses to braided stainless as I can, wrap the headers etc. Looking forward to racing season!

not being a ball-buster, but what are the clothespins holding in the first picture? i'm guessing not the starter wires?

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics
They aren't holding anything, but are clipped onto the fuel line, it's an old military trick. They prevent the fuel from evaporating in the lines. It sounds totally crazy (I know) but it works. They dissipate heat.
Technically with the holley blue pump I shouldn't need them any longer but they serve as an added measure now.

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics
Mine is no where near as nice as some of y'alls here. I just have the Stock LG4 250,000 miles, and runs as strong as ever. This car is my daily driver it has plenty of power for me. I'll be replacing the intake gaskets this weekend cause she has a couple of leaks.

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics
This is in my 1984 TransAm. Originally a L69 engine. Kept the ECM controlling the Quadrajet and HEI with the recently installed a Blueprint BP35513CT1 355 CID roller cam engine. Dyno sheet shows 417 HP! It took a little carb tuning but the car has plenty of pep now.

Re: Post Your Carb'd Motor Pics
here is mine 355 full roller, comp cam, comp 1.52 rockers, eagle rods, eagle crank, Trw flat top pistons, sportsman 2 heads, strip dominator high rise intake, holley vac 2nd dary carb, t5 5 speed, 342 rear gears with a mini spool.
I thought I had one with it in the Camaro, this is actually the engine while it was in the nova.
update, the last 2 pics of the engine in the Camaro, same one as what was in the first pic of the nova.
