I see them on ebay from time to time. New ones are expensive, generally over $150. A good used one canm be had for probably 1/2 that.

i dont mind paying , and i positively hate "feebay" but if its the only place to get what my car needs .then i guess i gotta deal with them

really?? I was under the impression it needed to be functional AND leak free. I can get one of those block off kits and remove it entirely then?

This would make sure its leak free. With the 89 programing all eight injectors are used based on coolant temp for cold start enrichment. if you want say a 88 305 tune send me your old memcal.
