Call Holley tech and confirm but most mounts the arm goes on the left (as looking at your picture), which gets in to the trans tunnel. This requires a big hammer to correct.

I used the sender from this thread to work on the MU1730. IIRC I had to solder old out and new in and carefully grind some plastic and to get it to work. May have done some swaping on the arm hinge....

You will need a pinout of the connectors for both gauges. Iirc, fuel senders will have different ohm...
