The Bird has spoken, she has given approval and forgiveness. The 10mm socket the engine compartment ate 3 years ago at my old house, has appeared on the ground at my new house.

It was all so strange, spent weeks rebuilding it. There was welding but it ran fine when all done. All I did was move it to the side yard and somehow that messed up the EMC control of the injectors....

Haven't taken it over 70, might see 75-80 but that's about it. Didn't buy it to go fast just want to tweak a few things more to my liking. as its an oddity for most with the 4+3 trans.

Like pringles, once ya start tweaking ya just can't stop...

900 idle, 180-190 fan kick on [ 180 stat ], vats disable, bump speed limiter to 300MPH just in case [ waiting on 228 for the stock temp...

TPS n coolant temp sensor still not installed, here is a temp fix im gonna use for now. 87 5.7l 4+3 stick, scary fast :p

run the sucker in the dark with the hood up, look for spark leak. juice will take the path of least resistance to ground. Have had it jump right out of the side of the coil rather then fire the plug.

you jog my memory, does the temp gauge run off it too? Did notice letting it ilde long as it would on its own. The temp never rose very much. Should have hit 200 and needed the fan turned on

40min drive for the only MAF in town, MAF code now gone, car will idle ok but touch gas n it still gets pissy.

no one has a TPS, 5 day wait from rockauto.

Ok fuel injectors check out , csi disabled 2in section of the. Csi line pounded flat so no fuel to it. Starts right up then slowly gets pissy n dies. Maf code still coming up, could a maf do that?

OK FPR passes vaccum suck test

fuel injectors work right and spray well, made a quick test rig to check spray and if any are stuck. [ 12v source, tire valve, can of FI cleaner with bits super...

Changed plugs, back two, wet midnight carbon black, rest, dry carbon black.

Ran great at first, as it got warm it got worse till it was all pissy again.

seems like it would be hard in the way that so much is "spot welded" to the floor pans to replace them whole. OR I might have spent the cash for a whole new floor.

I can tell you driver side doors are hard to find, pass side doors like new are a dime a dozen. Don't know why.

The nice thing about working with metal, you just easily add or replace as needed.

Someone up there likes me. The drivers side was a cake walk, LCA bolt came right out, drilled all the holes, got the tab welded to SFC for the 4th bolt. And then it starts to rain. Ok enough for one...
