I'm thinking about getting rid of my car. I work at a lumber yard and need a truck. The car has a 350, carbed with new vortec heads and a performer rpm intake. It has a ton of new parts. Let me know...

How much did you have to change to use the lt4 hot cam? Did you buy the kit from gm performance?

What all went into this swap?

PS. My 91 camaro is basically the same set-up as yours: 350 out...

I have heard that either hot rod or chevy high performance has made this swap with tremendous results:

They took a stock Vortec motor out of a junk yard with 110,000 miles and put it on a camaro....

When I set the idle at around 1050, it just seemed to run real smooth there. It is a stock cam, stock motor, with vortec heads. Nothing special.

I have a regulator set at 3.5 psi, which is what the carb is supposed to be fed. It is a stock replacement on the fuel pump, so I had to use the regulator. I will do some playing with it tonight...

I have 96 ss rims on my 91 rs. It takes 2" wheel spacers to run them. The wheels are 17 x 10.5.

I do have an autometer water temp gauge located on the pillar. The fans come on with a switch under the dash. All three come on with the switch, which I pretty much leave on all the time.

No, it is the factory gauge. The timing is not retarted. I do have and aftermarket gauge, but not using it.

Yes, right now I do have stock heads on a stock 350. Everything inside the motor is stock. I do have 3" pipes from the mainfolds back, msd ignition, msd distributor. I have a set of Vortec heads...
