My '85 Z28 Lg4 52k miles automatic edged out a '97 (I think) Grand Prix GT that runs 7.7 to 60 according to Road & Track. A '91 RS has got to be quicker than that, especially a 5-speed.

You can do this, but since you have fuel injection, you need to change, the PROM chip, or the engine will always think it's always in warm-up/enrichment mode. So it will have crappy fuel econonomy...
